8th Annual Charity Auction

The Monroe County Mothers of Multiples (MCMOM) is gearing up for our 8th Annual Charity Auction. Our auction this year will be held at the Dundee Old Mill 242 Toledo St, Dundee, MI on Saturday, November 14, 2009. The theme this year is "50's/60's Brat Pack”. Tickets will be available for $25.00 which includes dinner and entertainment. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. for registration and the beginning of our festivities. Dinner will be served at 6:00pm and the live auction will start at 7:00pm. As in the past, MCMOM is soliciting products and/or services from businesses to be used for our live and silent auctions. Funds raised will support three vital missions.
Our first charity this year will be the "God Works! Meal Program". This program is 100% volunteer, 100% local and has served over 170,000 plates of food in Monroe County. God Works! coordinates donations of food, money and volunteers so meals can be served. They are currently serving meals seven nights a week in the city of Monroe, on Monday and Wednesday nights in Temperance and on Wednesday nights in Flat Rock and Dundee.
Our second donation will be made in adopting a family in need from Monroe County so that we can provide assistance with winter clothing and other cold weather necessities.
The remainder will be used by MCMOM for the purpose of educating, assisting, supporting and encouraging families with twins or higher order multiples. Each year, more and more families are having multiples and we are very proud to be able to give support and assistance to those families in and around the Monroe County area.
